The air taxis are coming. The landing network is the bottleneck. We solved it.

Aeroberm™ unlocks Advanced Air Mobility by solving the three showstoppers that hinder Advanced Air Mobility in urban areas: outwash, noise, and fire safety. One scalable, modular, world-first patent.

Problem → solution

Five showstoppers. One patented answer.

Every major barrier to urban Advanced Air Mobility maps to a specific technical solution built into Aeroberm — no retrofits, no workarounds.

  1. 01Barrier

    Downwash and outwash

Powerful rotor wash creates safety risks for people, vehicles, and surrounding infrastructure, limiting where aircraft can land.

    Aeroberm solution

    Downwash and outwash controlled

Aeroberm’s patented design manages and dissipates rotor wash, enabling safer operations in dense urban environments.

  2. 02Barrier

    Noise impacts

Community acceptance is constrained by both rotor noise and ground interaction effects during take-off and landing.

    Aeroberm solution

    Noise reduced at the source

Our fractal panels not only reduce wind speeds, they also suppress ground-level noise impacts during take-off and landing.

  3. 03Barrier

    Fire safety risks

Battery fires and emergency scenarios require new safety standards not yet embedded in most proposed vertiport designs.

    Aeroberm solution

    Fire safety built in

Our optional dunk tank has been assessed by experts as perhaps the only way to conclusively extinguish a lithium battery fire in thermal runaway.

  4. 04Barrier

    Planning and regulatory constraints

Urban environments face zoning, setback, and safety buffer challenges that restrict viable sites.

    Aeroberm solution

    Planning-friendly footprint

A compact, modular design reduces spatial requirements and helps unlock sites previously considered unviable.

  5. 05Barrier

    Cost and scalability

Most vertiport concepts are bespoke, expensive, and slow to deploy, unsuitable for network-scale rollout.

    Aeroberm solution

    Scalable, deployable infrastructure

Unlike bespoke vertiports, Aeroberm is modular and rapidly deployable, enabling network-scale rollout globally at a fixed price.

Fractal geometry. Our secret sauce.

Nature uses self-similar patterns to solve complex problems — and so does Aeroberm. The patented fractal panel surface embeds logarithmically spaced vanes into the vertipad structure, engineered to intercept and ameliorate the dangerous outwash vortices generated by eVTOL rotors at every scale simultaneously.

Rather than just deflecting the problem sideways, the fractal geometry redirects energy downwards and under the elevated pad — achieving viscous energy dissipation rates up to ninety percent higher than conventional surfaces. Independently validated by Swinburne University research, this is the outwash solution the industry has been waiting for.

Fire safety

Managing fire risk through infrastructure

A dedicated operational safeguard for battery thermal events, separate from the fractal landing surface.

The problem

Electric air taxis use lithium-ion batteries, which can go into “thermal runaway”, a chain reaction creating intense fires that are extremely difficult to extinguish and can reignite hours later. In a vertiport setting, this can shut down operations for days, making property owners and regulators wary of hosting landing sites.

The Aeroberm solution

Aeroberm incorporates an optional “dunk tank” that lowers the aircraft into a contained water pit, fully immersing it to extinguish the fire at its source. Full immersion is widely regarded as the only reliable way to stop a lithium battery fire completely.

Expert perspective

Is dunking an aircraft in water really the best we can do? It sounds dramatic, but there's a strong case that total immersion may be the only method that actually stops a lithium-ion battery fire dead in its tracks, rather than merely containing it.

Insurance & Risk · Built-In Confidence

Vertiport insurance is one of the least understood and most critical elements of getting an urban air mobility operation approved and funded. Aeroberm has engaged directly with specialist aviation underwriters to ensure operators who deploy our infrastructure have access to informed, purpose-built insurance support from day one.

Our infrastructure is designed with insurability in mind. While every site is different and remain subject to underwriting, we expect our Aeroberm vertipad infrastructure will deliver meaningful advantages over ad hoc landing arrangements, including:

  • More competitive premiums where dedicated infrastructure reduces third-party exposure
  • Lower deductibles where reduced outwash and debris risk limits attritional claims
  • Stronger underwriting appetite for standardised, controlled environments
  • Greater insurer confidence where operations are repeatable across multiple sites
  • Improved risk differentiation over time as operational data builds against conventional alternatives.

Market validation

Six aircraft are expected to achieve commercial certification in the next two to three years. The question is no longer “if” but where they land, surface supply, planning, and economics on private land.

Programmes are concentrating in the highest-activity corridors. The metrics below frame certification timing, corridor activity, and why pad-edge wind thresholds matter for infrastructure design.

Ecosystem

The full vertiport. Not just the pad.

Aeroberm is the foundation, but we don't stop at the surface. Through a curated network of certified ecosystem partners, we can deliver a complete, commercially operational vertiport: charging infrastructure, airspace management, weather intelligence, connectivity, and vertiport operations software. One relationship. One integrated stack. Built on the only patented vertipad surface in the world, and ready to operate from day one.

Deployment scenarios

The urban fabric is full of potential future vertiports.

Here is where Aeroberm lands first.

The shift to urban air mobility doesn't require new land. It requires existing land to be looked at differently. Aeroberm is designed to deploy across the full range of built environment typologies, modular, structurally sympathetic, and engineered to meet the planning and safety requirements that turn a property asset into a certified landing site for air taxis.

01 · Shopping Centres
Rooftop deployment that future-proofs retail assets without expanding the physical envelope. Air taxi access becomes a destination amenity that drives foot traffic and tenant premium.
02 · Business Parks
Ground-level or podium pads that add genuine distinction to commercial precincts. Vertiport access is the next generation of tenant amenity, the helicopter pad of the air taxi era.
03 · Hospitals
Emergency and medical transport access with controlled outwash and integrated fire isolation. Aeroberm's safety credentials make it the appropriate surface for the most sensitive operational environments.
04 · Logistics Hubs
Drone freight vertipads that double as local air taxi passenger nodes. A single Aeroberm installation can serve multiple use cases simultaneously, maximising return on infrastructure investment.
05 · Car Park Structures
Retrofit-friendly modular installation that uses existing elevation to separate operations from traffic and pedestrians below. Car parks are among the most structurally viable and commercially underutilised vertiport candidates in any city.
06 · Greenfield Developments
Build vertiport readiness into the masterplan from day one. The developers who design for air mobility now will capture the asset value uplift that certified landing infrastructure delivers when the network arrives.
07 · Transit Hubs
Rail stations, ferry terminals, and bus interchanges are natural vertiport locations, high footfall, multimodal connectivity, and existing infrastructure. The integration of air and ground transport is where the passenger experience of urban air mobility gets decided.
08 · Waterfront Precincts
Elevated or pontoon-mounted vertipads that activate waterfront sites for air taxi access, tourism, and logistics without the planning constraints of built rooftop installations.
